If you went to minyan this morning (outside of Israel), you may have noticed there was no Torah reading in what seems like ages. In fact, until today there had been 10 straight days of Torah reading with Erev Pesach on Shabbos and the day after Pesach on Monday. This only happens (this time of year) when Pesach starts/ends on Sunday, as Thursday/Shabbos are normally Torah reading days anyway, and Tuesday has Torah reading on erev Pesach (Monday) but not the day after (Wednesday).
While rare on Pesach, there are a few other occasions with this many consecutive days of Torah reading:
1. Succos starting on Thursday: The normal 9 days plus Shabbos the day after (we've had a lot of these in the past 10 years, next one in 2024).
2. Succos starting on Shabbos: The normal 9 days plus Monday the day after (we had this 6 months ago, next one in 2026). There is about a 4/7 chance to have one of these first two scenarios.
3. Chanukah starting on Sunday (Monday RH with 29 day Cheshvan): The normal 8 days plus Shabbos before and Monday after (happened in 2016, next time in 2029).
4. Chanukah starting on Friday (Shabbos RH with 29 day Cheshvan): The normal 8 days plus Thursday before and Shabbos after (the Mikeitz not on Chanukah scenario I never shut up about that will next happen in 2023).
Lastly, there is one scenario with 11 straight Torah reading days: Succos starting on Tuesday. The normal 9 days are bookended by a Monday and Thursday. This scenario is on the same cycle as the 10 straight days around Pesach, so it will happen in about 6 months and again in 2025.
